Season and weekly predictions
Two ways to predict – you can play both.
Q/A
How does SeasonCall work?
SeasonCall is a free prediction game. You predict the full final table for the Premier League, the Championship and the NHL in two rounds per season (Pre Season and Mid Season), and you also make weekly predictions on individual matches throughout the season. Points are calculated automatically against the real results and you compete against your friends on open or private leaderboards.
How it worksWhich competitions can I predict?
You can predict three competitions: the Premier League, the Championship and the NHL. All three have table predictions for Pre Season and Mid Season, plus their own weekly predictions with different formats – see the weekly questions for each competition.
CompetitionsHow is scoring calculated?
Table predictions (Pre Season and Mid Season) score based on how close you are to each team's real final position. A round counts as played when you submit at least one valid match prediction before the deadline. Your actual points and the full available Max for that round are then included, even if you only predicted some matches. If you submit no predictions, the round contributes neither Points nor Max. The Weekly league is ranked by Points ÷ Max across your played rounds, not by total points.
How we scoreHow do the weekly predictions work?
Each competition has its own weekly format: in the Premier League you predict the exact score, in the Championship you make a simple 1–X–2 prediction (home win, draw or away win), and in the NHL you only pick the winning team – 1 point if right, 0 if wrong, no matter whether the game ends in regulation, overtime or a shootout. The round model differs per competition: the Premier League and the Championship follow the league's own gameweeks (38 and 46 rounds per season) – not Monday-to-Sunday calendar weeks. The NHL instead uses 28 calendar-week rounds, with a new round starting every Monday. Matches are listed chronologically and your entry saves automatically until the first kickoff/puck drop. These are called weekly predictions.
Premier League rulesHow does the Premier League weekly prediction work?
In the Premier League you predict the exact final score of each match, for example 2–1. An exact correct score gives 5 points. If the score is wrong but the outcome (home win, draw or away win) is right, you get 2 points. If both are wrong the match gives 0 points. A match without a confirmed final result is never scored, either as points or as maximum points. Entries save automatically as you type.
Premier League rulesHow does the Championship weekly prediction work?
In the Championship you only predict the match outcome: home win (1), draw (X) or away win (2) — not an exact score. A correct outcome scores 2 points, an incorrect one scores 0. There is no overtime or shootout question and no extra bonus beyond the outcome points. A match without a confirmed final result is never scored. That is different from the Premier League, where you predict the exact score.
Championship rulesHow does the NHL weekly prediction work?
In the NHL you only predict which team wins the game — not the score, and not whether it's decided in regulation, overtime or a shootout. The correct winner gives 1 point, the wrong winner gives 0 points, however the game was decided. There is no overtime/shootout question and no OT bonus in this mode. A game without a confirmed final result is never scored.
NHL rulesHow often do NHL weeks open?
The NHL uses calendar weeks: the season is split into 28 rounds and a new round starts every Monday. This differs from the Premier League and the Championship, which follow the league's own gameweeks (38 and 46 respectively) rather than Monday-to-Sunday weeks. Games are listed by day inside the week so they are easy to find. The whole week locks at the week's first puck drop, so it pays to pick ahead – you can open and predict upcoming weeks right away.
NHL rulesWhat are Pre Season and Mid Season?
The season is split into two prediction rounds: Pre Season, where you predict the full final table before the season starts, and Mid Season, where you predict the final table again at the halfway point with fresh information. Both rounds count towards your Season score and therefore your Season ranking.
How it worksHow do I create a private league with my friends?
Go to Private leagues in the menu and create a private league. Your leagues are listed at the top, and competition selection now lives in the predict hub under Predict. You get an invite link, a code and a QR code you can share anywhere – the code can also be entered through the "Join with a code" dialog. Everyone who joins appears on that league's own leaderboard alongside the open one.
Private leaguesWho can invite new members to a private league?
The owner can always invite, straight from the league detail view, by sharing a link, a code or a QR code. The owner can also switch on delegated invites so ordinary members may invite people too. With that setting off, only the owner can add new participants.
Private leaguesCan I see what the others in my league predicted?
Yes, but only after the entry has locked. Season predictions become visible to your league once that competition's deadline has passed, and weekly predictions once the week's first kickoff or puck drop has happened. Before that everyone's predictions stay hidden, so nobody can copy anyone.
Private leaguesHow does the Weekly league work?
A round counts as played when you submit at least one valid match prediction before the deadline. Your actual points and the full available Max for that round are then included. The Weekly league is ranked by Points ÷ Max across your played rounds. To qualify, you must play at least half of the season's rounds: 19 of 38 in the Premier League, 23 of 46 in the Championship, or 14 of 28 in the NHL. Until you reach the threshold, your position and progress remain visible as normal. You move below qualified and pending players as Not qualified only when reaching the threshold is no longer possible.
LeaderboardI found the app after the season started – am I too late?
No. You can still join and you get your own leaderboard that counts points from the day you joined, so you are not compared against people who played all season.
When is the Pre Season and Mid Season deadline?
Each competition has its own Pre Season and Mid Season deadline. The date and a countdown are also shown at the top when you predict that competition.
How it worksWhat do favourite teams do?
Your favourite teams get a star in every table, and you get a favourite-team card on your dashboard (not on the public home page) with the team's position and next match. Favourite teams are entirely optional – pick them under Favourite teams in the menu or in Settings whenever you like.
Favourite teamsWhere can I see live tables, matches and team pages?
Under Live you will find current tables, upcoming and played matches for all three competitions. Every team also has its own team page with league position, form and next match, reachable from the tables.
LiveCan I get reminders before the deadline?
Yes. Notification preferences live under Settings and you choose per category: season prediction deadline, weekly prediction deadline, new week, results, private league activity and chat. The channels are independent – email is only available for the two deadline categories, everything else is sent as push. You can turn each category and channel on or off whenever you like.
SettingsHow do I add the app to my home screen?
SeasonCall is a web app (PWA), so no App Store needed. On iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap the Share icon and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android: tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app. The web and the PWA can be browsed without an account, but a downloaded App Store or Google Play version requires you to sign in right from the start screen.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you confirm that when you sign up. It is not about gambling – SeasonCall has no money and no odds – but about the rules for accounts and personal data.
